About Me
I was born and lived the first 18 years of my life in a small town in central western Queensland called Winton. Winton being the birthplace of QANTAS and the home of Waltzing Matilda.
I came to the Scone area in 1990, on a holiday to visit one of my siblings. I met my husband whilst on holiday, we were married in 1991 and we have since had 3 children and the rest as they say is history.
My husband was born in Scone and bought up and has lived in the Ellerston area all his life and is where we still live today with our 3 children.
I first picked up and become passionate about photography when I was in primary school. Over the years I have taught myself a lot of what I know and have picked up other skills and techniques by listening and talking to other photographers. Thank fully reading is something I enjoy so I have learnt a lot also from reading different books.
I enjoy the challenges that photography through at me and therefore the end results are all the more pleasing and satisfying.
I love all types of photography from taking photos of things in the paddock to taking photos of people in all types of situations from working with children to photographing weddings, from taking photos of animals to taking photos of old fences. Basically I will take a photo of anything or anyone and go nowhere without my camera.
One of the events that I take photos at every year and enjoyed doing so since its inaugural event, is the King of the Ranges – Stockman’s Challenge held in Murrurundi every year. I have photographed a number of weddings to date and everyone of them has been different. Please visit my Gallery too view samples of my work.
